Crossing Over Marie

A friend of mine owns an older home and it’s no surprise that there are a number of spirits inside. There are two males, one in the garage and one in a closet in the basement. Also in the basement was a female, Marie.

Marie liked to be in the basement kitchen. It was familiar to her and she felt safest there. Unusually, she was not a former resident of the house, she had lived across the street. However, she was close friends with the woman who had lived there.

Marie gave me visions of her life. She was in an abusive marriage with an alcoholic husband. She showed me how he used to beat and rape her. Marie lived in terror and her friend used to hide her from him in the basement kitchen. He had so completely traumatized her in life she still feared him in death.

I offered to cross her over, she declined being too afraid. Marie was emotionally, physically and sexually abused and her fear of her husband had trapped her to the point that she did not want to move on. I asked my guides to speak to her when they had the opportunity. The thought of Marie spending eternity in the basement in fear was heartbreaking. She feared crossing over because she felt it made her vulnerable to him.

A few weeks later I was helping my friend with some yard work when I saw Marie’s husband on the front step on their home watching me. He knew I could see him. He was tall, broad and menacing. In that moment I understood why she was actively hiding from him, he was looking for her.

Feeling that crossing over would be the safest course for her, I went to the basement and told Marie what I had seen and moving on would be her best protection. Again she declined, but agreed to think about it.

The next time I was there I went to see Marie in the basement. Thankfully she had thought about it, and said she was ready to move on. I asked one of my guides to accompany her so she’d feel safe.

I went into a meditative state, asking for The Light to come. When it did, it suffused Marie in loving energy. My guide escorted her through The Light into the warm embrace of her parents’ love. Marie looked back and thanked me. She smiled the most beautiful smile full of peace and love, knowing she was safe; completely insulated from her husband.
