Before the arrest of Joseph DeAngelo on April 24, 2018, this case was back in the news due to the work of Patton Oswalt’s deceased wife. She was writing a book about this case when she passed away and believed it could and would be solved.
On March 7, 2018 I decided to psychically investigate this case and recorded my impressions in my journal.
I felt he had a law enforcement background that did not last long because he was psychologically unfit. Resentment developed out of the loss of this career and he had the need to taunt the police. He needed to prove he was smarter than they were. And he enjoyed it. He watched the crime scenes when possible and the press coverage about his crimes. He still resided in California. In addition, I perceived a tremendous amount of self-loathing. Raping and taunting the police made him feel powerful. And this self-loathing was a driving force in the escalation from rape to murder.
After DeAngelo’s arrest in April 2018, it came to light he had been a cop who was arrested for shoplifting and fired in 1979. Most of the murders, with the exception of the Maggiore’s, came after he was fired. The Maggiore’s were a married couple murdered in 1978.
DeAngelo has since pled guilty to his crimes, including the Maggiore’s, and is serving multiple life sentences in California.
